WHAT IS THE BIG GIVE DAY? The Big Give Day is a one day, online giving fundraiser, to provide much needed funds for our upcoming summer camp ministry.
WHEN IS THE BIG GIVE DAY? The Big Give Day is Wednesday, May 15th, 2013. Giving can start from 12:01 a.m. and will end at midnight that same day (a 24 hour period).
HOW DO I GIVE ONLINE FOR THE BIG GIVE DAY? Angeles Crest uses an easy to use, very secure, online giving company called Clover Donations. You can simply click on the donation button below and follow the instructions to make your donation.
WHAT WILL THE FUNDS BE USED FOR? The funds that are donated on the Big Give Day will be used for three areas...
1. Summer Camp Scholarships (50%) Fifty percent of the money raised will be used to provide scholarship help for those kids that can't afford the registration fee to attend summer camp. Every summer Angeles Crest provides scholarships for hundreds of kids.
2. Facilities (35%) Thirty-five percent of the money raised will be used to provide materials to help repair and renovate the camp facilities to make them ready for campers when they arrive this summer. This includes items like paint, paint supplies, doors, door hardware, windows, carpet, cleaning supplies, drywall, door mats, bathroom fixtures, etc. Much of the work will be done at our PROJECT NEHEMIAH Camp over Memorial Day weekend.
3. Recreation Supplies (15%) Fifteen percent of the money raised will go toward recreation supplies needed for our summer camp program. This will include things such as harnesses for the zip line, basketballs, volleyballs, climbing wall handholds, swimming pool equipment, game room equipment, etc.
WHAT IS THE GOAL FOR HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO RAISE ON THE BIG GIVE DAY? Our goal is to raise $25,000.00 on the Big Give Day. Help us reach our goal by giving a donation!!!
CAN I MAIL IN A DONATION IF I CAN'T GIVE ONLINE? Yes, we would appreciate any gift toward our summer camp ministry!! If you would like to mail in a gift, please write a check payable to Angeles Crest Christian Camp and put a note on the check that it is for the Big Give Day. Please try to mail the gift prior to May 15th so we can record your gift along with the online gifts received on that day.

At Angeles Crest Christian Camp we are always working to improve every camper's experience by adding improvements, upgrading our facilities and replacing worn out equipment. The cost for many of these items can be expensive. In an effort to keep camping costs as low as possible, we are seeking donation for items that are currently needed or funds to help purchase these items.
One of the easiest and practical ways to leave a lasting legacy is through an estate gift. Angeles Crest Christian Camp has had a long standing relationship with Financial Planning Ministries whose sole ministry is to help individuals with their estate planning needs. Founded in 1982, FPM was initially established to offer Christian church members an easier and more efficient way to plan their estate. FPM removes the doubt and confusion surrounding estate planning and charitable donations through professional and courteous service.
One of the best ways to help keep our facilities in tip-top shape is to join our "Adopt-a-Cabin" program. This program involves having individuals or groups "adopt" one of the sleeping cabins and renovate it. The renovation includes both the inside and outside restoration of the cabin. The outside work includes such things as replacing old worn out wood trim, repairing or replacing doors, painting the outside (including prep work), etc. The inside work includes such things as preparing the walls for painting, texturing the walls, painting, replacing electrical outlets, removing and replacing carpet, etc.
Our greatest desire is to minister to children, youth and adults through our own program camps (Winter & Summer camps, Father & Son, Mother & Daughter, etc.). There are many individuals who cannot afford the cost to go to camp. It has been a policy of Angeles Crest Christian Camp that we will never let the cost of camp be a hinderance to anyone who wishes to attend. To help individuals who can't afford the cost of camp we have "Camperships" (1/3 off the cost of camp) available.
