Guest Speaker: Amberly Neese
Amberly Neese is a woman passionate about joy in Christ. As a busy author and speaker, she has encouraged audiences with her humor and candor. She is a popular speaker with children and a favorite at Angeles Crest Christian Camp. Amberly earned her Master's Degree from Biola Universithy and now serves as a professor in the Masters of Education Department at Grand Canyon University as well as a part-time Spanish teacher. Amberly married Scott Neese in 1992. He serves as the Worship and Small Groups Pastor at Christ's Church of the Valley in Bakersfield. They have a daughter Judah Catherine born in 2001 and a son, Josiah Caleb born in 2003. They enjoy playing with their kids and watching the Food Network.
Worship Leader: Straight Forward
Straight Forward is a Christian worship band from Diamond Bar including: Alex Long, William Shaw, Kevin Stowers and Paul Kirz. Each member has a great desire to worship God with music and with their lives. Straight Forward is representative of not only their lives, but also their worship. "Our lives are straight forward, and our worship is straight forward. We make our worship a confession as well as a testimony of God's love for His believers."
Activities:
Angeles Crest Christian Camp is located at an elevation of 6,000 feet! This means that snowfall is common especially during the months of February and March. So be ready to play some snow games and have fun on our sled run!!
Depending on the weather, Angeles Crest also provides other great recreational events, including basketball, volleyball, a climbing wall, the “trampoline thing”, hiking trails, a game room, “Isaiah’s Perch”, the Zip Line, Zaccheus’ tree house, and “The Hut” our local hang out – a.k.a. our “snack bar.”
Camp Times:
Camp will begin with check in between 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Friday. Camp will end at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.
What to Bring:
Bible, pen, notebook, sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, flashlight, towel and washcloth, warm clothes, winter jacket, spending money for camp store & picture, etc.
