Retreat Host: Keith Poletiek
Keith Poletiek will be our captain for this year's SWASHBUCKLERS Father & Son Retreat!! Keith is our Marketing Director for Angeles Crest Christian Camp and has been our host for the last six Father & Son retreats. Keith himself is a popular speaker at camps and conference centers and knows what it takes to make a Father & Son retreat run great. Keith will be working on some new ideas to entertain both the dads and boys and will lead you into a weekend that will bring your relationship closer between father and son and also with God! Remember...thar be treasure in Jesus!!
Guest Speaker: Doug Husen
Doug Husen is the Pastor to Single Adults and also leads the Men's Ministry at Crossroads Christian Church. Doug and his wife Maureen have four children: Kai (21), Eden (17), Keanu (15) and Kaenan (14). Doug's passion is helping people take their next step of spiritual growth and to see boys become godly Christian men. Our fathers and sons will enjoy Doug's sense of humor and his ability to bring relevant truths out of the scriptures.
Worship Leader: Andy Garcia
Andy Garcia is the leader of "The Garcia Band"! He has been a Youth Pastor for many years, and currently serves as the Worship Pastor at Agoura Bible Fellowship in Agoura Hills, CA. He is passionate about his walk with God and has an outgoing, energetic personality making him a favorite at Angeles Crest. As a veteran youth pastor, Andy knows how to communicate to youth and children and loves to challenge them to follow God with their whole heart. Andy is a gifted worship leader and will create a fun and meaningful worship experience for the campers. Andy lives in Agoura Hills with his wife Terri and their four daughters.

Recreation Activities In addition to our pool with two slides and a diving board, there are plenty of hiking trails in the area, "The Hut" (a Baja Beach store & snack shack), a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, ping pong tables, foosball tables, crafts, Frizbee golf, a climbing wall, the "trampoline thing", archery, BB guns, "Isaiah's Perch", zip line, and digglers (mountain scooters!). Not to mention we also have an awesome paintball course!!
Also featuring…The 8th Annual Downhill Ultimate Derby Extravaganza!! Otherwise known as the “DUDE” Pine Car Derby Race, our annual pine car derby competition is back again by popular demand!! You will be provided a basic pine wood derby kit for you to build together as father and son. There will be races and competitions during the weekend with prizes given for a variety of categories. However…there will be a new twist…how can I make my car look like a pirate ship?? Good luck me mateys!!
Don't forget too...The "Walk the Plank" Annual Bellyflop contest!! That's right...we'll be looking for the most dangerous pirate to ever walk the plank and take a plunge into the lagoon! There's a boatload of treasure for the scalleywag that wins!! Be careful to all ye who walk the plank!!
What to Bring Our weather at camp is usually a reflection of the Southern California weather. However, the evenings can be cool. Bring recreation and hiking clothes for the day and jackets for the evening. You will need a sleeping bag, pillow, wash cloth, toiletries, towel, flashlight, Bible, etc.
"Camperships" Available Our greatest desire is to minister to people through our camp program. If you have a special financial need, we have Camperships (1/3 off the cost of camp) available. Request for all Camperships must be in writing and must be submitted to the camp with the registation form 10 days before the camp. Rules for acceptance and participation at an ACCC program are the same for everyone regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, or handicap.
