Steve came to Rock Harbor having been the Student Ministries Pastor at Mars Hill Church in Granville, Michigan, where he ministered with and alongside Rob Bell for many years. He loves working with a great team of staff and volunteers at Rock Harbor who are committed to living out the way of Jesus. Steve is known for his ability to connect you to God's Word and he will bring some powerful messages to all who attend and want their faith to catch fire! Steve lives in Fullerton, CA with his wife Sarah, their son Emerson and their dog Fenway.
Worship Leader: JOE HENSCHEL
With a powerful conviction for the lost and an open and humble spirit, Joe is one of today's most promising artists. It was while leading worship for a small home fellowship group, that Henschel realized his passion for music and leading people into God's throne room. Over the years, Joe has became involved with many churches and ministries including Worship Generation at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. His most current band, Farewell Down, was together for four years and ministered to youth all over the country.
Henschel's desire for worship has lead him to be on staff at Horizon Christian Fellowship in Rancho Santa Fe as the Worship Assistant. He also has the privilege of traveling and leading worship as an independent worship leader to churches and ministries not only nationally but also worldwide in countries like Nigeria, Germany, Hungary, Scotland and England. This week of worship at Angeles Crest will definitely be powerful and life-changing for the students that God is calling to be there.
