Youth III Winter Camp 2009

Theme
"Wake Up!!"
There are many Christian kids today that seem to be just sleepwalking through life.  They may go to church and even wear Christian T-shirts but their faith is shallow and without passion.  This weekend is all about calling them to "Wake Up".  It's about training our young people to stay awake in their faith so they can be affective tools for God in their daily lives.  Our key scripture verse for the weekend comes from the Apostle Paul...

Romans 13:11   "And to this, understanding the present time.  The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed."

Date: February 20-22, 2009

Cost: $130.00  for Students  ($80 for adult leaders)

Keynote SpeakerDavid Sill

Dave is the Pastor of Community at Christ Church of the Valley in San Dimas.  He grew up going to Angeles Crest Christian Camp as a camper, counselor, and youth pastor.  Dave served for a number of years as youth pastor in the local church and has a great understanding of the needs of today’s students.  With an authentic teaching style, he is a great communicator with young people being able to relate to them and challenge them in their Christian walk.   Dave’s favorite quote tells you a lot about who he is…
“The desperate need today, is not for a greater number of gifted people or intelligent people … but for deep people … those who are willing to be real.” – Richard Foster
Dave has been married to his wife Jackie for 18 years and has three kids … Emily (17), Austin (15) and Adam (11).
