Youth I Winter Camp 2009

Theme
"Wake Up!!"
There are many Christian kids today that seem to be just sleepwalking through life.  They may go to church and even wear Christian T-shirts but their faith is shallow and without passion.  This weekend is all about calling them to "Wake Up".  It's about training our young people to stay awake in their faith so they can be affective tools for God in their daily lives.  Our key scripture verse for the weekend comes from the Apostle Paul...

Romans 13:11   "And to this, understanding the present time.  The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed."

Date: January 30-February 1, 2009

Cost: $130.00 for Students ($80 for adult leaders)

Keynote Speaker -  Marty Milligan

Marty is an associate pastor at Christian Church of Thousand Oaks after spending 14 years there as the youth pastor.  He met his wife Crystal in a bus on the road up to Angeles Crest for a high school summer camp.  They have been married now for 16 years and have two kids, Kyeler (11) and Cory (9).  Marty graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 1992.  Communicating to students the endless truths of God’s love for us and his desire to capture and transform our lives is a big part of Marty’s heart.
